Hazelnut from Black Sea Region of Turkey

 

Finest quality of hazelnuts from the Black Sea region of Turkey, where 70 % of the world’s hazelnut demand is provided.
 
Turkey, which is one of the few countries in the world with favorable weather conditions for hazelnut production, accounts for 75% of the global production and 70-75% of the exportation.
 
Types of Turkish Hazelnut
The Turkish hazelnut, according to its quality is divided into two groups: Giresun and Levant.
 
Giresun Quality
“Giresun Quality” hazelnuts are those round-shaped hazelnuts, which grow in Giresun and in certain districts of Trabzon. “Giresun Quality” hazelnuts are the world’s highest-quality hazelnuts.
 
Levant Quality
These hazelnuts, which are named according to their production areas such as Levant Akçakoca, Levant Ordu, Levant Trabzon, and Levant Samsun, do contain generally more fat and are better in taste than the hazelnuts grown in other countries although they are poorer in fat content compared to the “Giresun Quality” hazelnuts.

Natural Hazelnut Kernels
Natural kernel with brown skin attached.
Size: 9-11 mm, 11-13 mm, 13-15 mm, 14-16 mm or any calibre with 1-2 mm intervals from 9 mm to 16 mm
Packing: 25/50/80 kg jute bags, 25/40 kg paper bags, 5/10/12.5/20/25 kg transparent, aluminium vacuum bags with or without cartons, 500/700/800/1000 kg big bags
Usage: Snack and bakery 
 
Blanched Hazelnut Kernels
Natural hazelnut kernel is processed with heat, so the skin is peeled, and the hazelnut kernel takes it blanched form with 5% skin and 4-5% of the desired humidity level.
Size: 9-11 mm, 11-13 mm, 13-15 mm or any calibre with  1-2 mm intervals from 9 mm – 15 mm
Packing: 25/50 kg nylon jute bags, 25/40 kg paper bags, 5/10/12.5/20/25 kg transparent, aluminium vacuum bags with or without cartons, 500/800/1000 kg big bags
Usage: Snack and bakery
 
Roasted Hazelnut Kernels
Natural hazelnut kernel is processed with heat, so the skin is peeled, and the hazelnut kernel takes it roasted form with 5% skin (or up to 50% skin upon request) and 0.8-3% of the desired humidity level.
 
Size: 9-11 mm, 11-13 mm, 13-15 mm or any calibre with 1-2 mm intervals from 9 mm-15 mm
Packing: 25/50 kg nylon jute bags, 25/40 kg paper bags, 5/10/12.5/20/25 kg transparent, aluminium vacuum bags with or without cartons, 500/800/1000 kg big bags
Usage: Snack and bakery
 
 
Sliced Hazelnut
Natural or blanched hazelnut kernels tiny sliced lengthwise with brown skin, and 4-6% humidity.
Size: 0.7-1 mm, 0.8-1.2 mm, 1-1.2 mm, 1-1.5 mm
Packing: 10/12,5/20 kg nylon bags in carton boxes
Usage: Bakery and breakfast 
   
Diced Hazelnut
Natural/roasted/blanched hazelnut kernels are produced by cutting or crushing into smaller pieces.
Size: Intervals from 0-12 mm or any calibre with 0-4 mm, 1-3 mm, 2-4 mm, 3-5 mm, 4-8 mm, 5-11 mm, 7-11 mm and 0-10 mm
Packing: 25/50 kg nylon jute bags, 25/40 kg paper bags, 5/10/12.5/20/25 kg transparent, aluminium vacuum bags with or without cartons, 500/800/1000 kg big bags
Usage: Bakery, for breakfast, ice-cream, biscuit and chocolate


Hazelnut Powder
Natural/blanched/roasted hazelnut kernels are grinded into powder with skin and with 4-6% or 0,8-3% humidity.
Size: 0-1.5 mm, 0-2 mm, 0-3 mm
Packing: 25/50 kg nylon jute bags, 25/40 kg paper bags, 5/10/12.5/20/25 kg transparent, aluminium vacuum bags with or without cartons
Usage: Bakery, biscuit, ice-cream and different healthy foods
  
Hazelnut Paste
Roasted hazelnut kernels are crushed and mashed by pressing. Dark, Medium, Light Roasted
Size: Between 20-80µ in line with costumer demand
Packing: 30/60/200/220 kg plastic barrels suitable for food, 20/55/200 kg metal barrels, 1000 kg tanks
Usage: Bakery, chocolate, biscuits, ice-cream and waffles
 
Hazelnut Paste with Sugar – Praline
A mixture of roasted hazelnut paste offered in specific proportions.
Size: <30>Packing: 10/25 kg plastic buckets, 30/60 kg plastic barrels
Usage: Bakery, chocolate and ice-cream
